G: Not then. Driving lessons were expensive and my parents couldn't pay for them.

G: We were in Wales on a school trip. The weather was very good - there weren't lots of rain - but we were very happy in the mountains. Every day was the same - breakfast at 8 a. m. , a 20-km walk and back to the hostel in the evening. We were so tired, we couldn't move in the evenings. There werent any discos or parties - We were in bed before 9 p. m. !
E: Were you with grandfather then?
