Most people want to have a lot of friends to communicate with. But, is it a good idea to look for friends on the Internet?

It is hard to deny that you can make a lot of new friends very easily on the Internet. There are many people to chat with.  It is also true that it's easier to find people who share the same interests as you, as you can meet people from all over the world.

On the other hand, it's difficult to know if people are being honest.  You can't be sure if the other person is telling the truth about their sex, age or appearance. Some people argue that you have to wait for a reply when you make a comment. It can take a lot of time.

To sum it all up, there are clearly some advantages to having friendships or relationships on the Internet. However, there are also some disadvantages. It really depends on individual circumstances. In my opinion, it's a great opportunity to communicate with different people from different countries.
