Kasym Khan is a prominent Kazakh statesman. His reign was the era of the flourishing of the Kazakh state. He did a lot for its formation and development, managed to avoid the struggle for power and civil strife. When Zhanibek died, his son continued to increase his father's authority. The Kazakh Khanate at that time was under the control of Khan Burunduk, but some sultans had an influence not less, and even stronger than that of the main official ruler. Such was Kasym, who roamed in the region of the Karatal River and Lake Balkhash. Many people considered his opinion. According to historical data, Kasym had a special ability to communicate with people and expressed leadership qualities that allowed him to organize others, namely: He led a huge army, outnumbering the military forces of Chipmunk Khan himself. In the army of Kasym, there were about 300 thousand people. Kasym Khan and Burunduk Khan competed not only in terms of military superiority, but also fought for the love of the people. This task was not up to the latter.
