All people need mathematics because we use it every day. For example, to buy food in a store. In many professions, mathematics is used on a daily basis, as they use a lot of mathematical calculations and problems. These professions are engineer, physicist, scientist, programmer and many others.

Also, mathematics laid the foundation for many sciences. Without it, there would be no such things as physics and chemistry. To get a job in any profession that is somehow related to mathematics, you need to know it well. Then it contributes to high career growth.
