The building of the Moscow Pushkin Museum appeared at the beginning of the 20th century in a small Moscow street named Volkhonka. This museum was opened in 1912.

For the first time this museum exhibited copies of famous sculptures in its halls. Later on the museum bought different original masterpieces. Now the collection of its sculptures and paintings is one of the best and famous collections in the whole world. The building of the Pushkin Museum itself is also an architectural masterpiece.
